Your 13.1 mile royal quest was an inspiration to the entire kingdom!
In a magical kingdom, an extraordinary gathering of princesses, adorned in tiaras and running skirts, embarked on a royal quest to run the World! And run it they did, with the courage, strength and perseverance every Disney princess possesses. This year marked the fifth running of Disney’s Princess Half Marathon and nearly 400 were setting out as Perfect Princesses.
Along the enchanted quest, the princesses were met by beloved Disney characters, inspirational music and scenes from classic Disney entertainment moments. And at the end of the 13.1-mile journey, each royal highness was greeted by crowds of cheering fans that supported them every step of the way.
Princess Rachel Booth of Jacksonville, FL, claimed her second consecutive crown as the 2013 Disney's Princess Half Marathon champion by completing her royal quest in 1:17:38. Princess Mia Elbon of Nashville, TN, pushed her the whole way, coming in a close second by less than 30 seconds. Princess Megan Jaswell of Johnston, RI, soon followed to round out the top 3 Half Marathon finishers.
All in all over 21,000 princesses crossed the fairytale finish line that day, many celebrating their very first half marathon finish. From Princess Rachel and the Perfect Princess runners to the final Princess, everyone felt the thrill and exhilaration of her amazing accomplishment and reveled in the magical memories she made along the way.
Congratulations running princesses! May you run happily ever after!
